The sound behind
the sound.

Turbo, born Chandler A. Great, is a Grammy-nominated record producer and songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia. For the better part of a decade he has been one of the primary architects of modern hip-hop. He is the producer whose records you recognize before you recognize his name, announced by four words: Run dat back, Turbo.

He executive produced Gunna's Drip or Drown 2, which entered at No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and DS4Ever, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. He built “Drip Too Hard” for Gunna and Lil Baby, certified Diamond at ten times platinum and one of the highest-certified hip-hop singles ever released. Travis Scott's “Yosemite.” Lil Baby's “Close Friends,” five times platinum. Gunna's “WGFT,” which debuted in the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100.

That catalog no longer stops at the city limits. On Gunna's The Last Wun, Turbo produced “wgft” with Burna Boy and “forever be mine” with Wizkid. It is Atlanta production meeting Lagos, with neither side giving ground. In country, he produced Moneybagg Yo's “Whiskey Whiskey” featuring Morgan Wallen: No. 21 on the Hot 100, No. 6 on Hot Country Songs, and twice platinum. A rap record that went top ten country. In August 2026, BMI presented him a Citation of Achievement for it at the BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards in Los Angeles.

Few producers cross that much ground without losing themselves in it. The signature holds everywhere: atmospheric melodies, layered 808 patterns, and arrangements built with room to breathe, cinematic without ever crowding the artist. It is a sound engineered to travel, and it has done exactly that, across platinum-selling albums and a Grammy nomination.

From the studio to the stage, Turbo continues to push the boundaries of production, working with the biggest names in music while building the next wave of sound out of Atlanta.
